To give you an idea of where the average person is at today in terms of their finanical livelihood let's take a look at what the median net worth by age is according to the latest Federal Reserve report .

The biggest thing to take away is - net worth declines after reaching 75+ years old. This is showing that a large amount of people have not built up enough wealth to maintain their lifestyle into retirement and are spending more than their investments are making, which is a very dangerous situation and will eventually lead to running out of savings.

With this in mind, it’s time we take a different approach to saving and investing. An approach that moves from a pure consumer mindset, where people seek possessions, to a value based culture, where value is only derived from the happiness generated relative to money spent.

Everyday Finance is here to advocate for that approach and help you save and invest as a byproduct along the way.

I’m currently in the process of putting together articles to give you high-quality, fact based, and unbiased information to help you switch to that new approach. So if you’re interested in a topic that I haven't covered yet, please let me know through email or in the comments of a post.
