Choose degrees or radians before using sin, cos or tan. The inverse functions asin, acos and atan return an angle in the selected unit. For example, sin(30) is 0.5 in degrees, while sin(pi / 6) is 0.5 in radians.
Powers, roots and logarithms
Use ^ for a power, sqrt(144) for a square root, cbrt(27) for a cube root, ln for the natural logarithm and log for base 10. The constants pi and e are available on the keypad. Factorial, written as !, supports whole numbers from 0 through 170. Enter multiplication explicitly, such as 2 * pi.
Powers are evaluated from right to left: 2^3^2 means 2^(3^2). The expression -2^2 gives -4; use (-2)^2 for 4. Percent always divides by 100 in this calculator. Up to 12 significant digits are displayed.
